10/08... “FEM goes to Kentucky”!!!! I went on a vacation with mom & Alice to Kentucky. We had so much fun!!!! These are pics of what we did & memorabilia I brought home ;-))) We went to a place called “ARK ENCOUNTER”, which was a life-size Noah’s Ark, where I learned a lot of neat history based from fossils. It also had live animals & animals that they made to give us a vision of what they looked like back then ;-))) I brought this cute giraffe named “Gracie” back for my girl’s to enjoy ;-)~~~ We also went to a Whisky Distilling Co. called “Barrel House Distilling Co., where we took a tour & tasted moonshine & whisky & vodkas :-O !!!! The other neat place we visited is called “Old Friends”!!! It’s a farm for Thoroughbreds whose racing & breeding careers have come to an end. Their goal at the farm is to raise awareness of the importance of equine aftercare. I was so happy to find out this place existed, since I’m familiar with the dark side of what their life is like while being raced. It’s nice to know some are lucky & get to spend their older years here ;-))))))))))))))))) We fed them carrots & learned about the horses on the tour. They even have a cemetery there for the ones that have passed!! The man that started this even lives on the farm with his wife ;-)))) Here is the “CBS News Special” to learn more about it!!! 07/14... “FEMLand News”!!!! I wanted to update everyone on what has been going on here since we don’t have FEMChat. I celebrated the Freedom of our Country on our National Holiday “The 4TH Of July”!! I went to my Uncle’s annual BBQ & mom & Kat & my cousin’s were all there ;-)))) I wanted to share a pic of the festive iced sugar cookies I brought along with my Salmon burger. It was so yummy grilled that I forgot to take a pic of it, but wanted you to see the box in case you want to try them ;-)~~~~~~ When I went to watch “Top Gun” I got this cute little dog for my cat’s at the concession stand!!
