HUMMINGBIRDS WITHOUT THE BEES FIELD TRIP

IMy mom found this fun adventure for us to go on ;-) We both LOVE hummingbirds & feed them!!! It’s so wild how such a tiny bird has such a large brain ;-) A bus picked us up & took us to a Game & Fish lodge in Casscoe, Arkansas. After a presentation on the GREAT works that the Game & Fish Commission does, we spent the afternoon with the only person in the state who bands hummingbirds for tracking & other study purposes. After learning everything about hummingbirds & watching her measure & weigh & band them, we got to hold one in our hand & feel it’s heartbeat before it flew off back into the wild!!! Mom & I had a nice lunch overlooking Cook’s Lake before our trip back home ;-) Hope you guys enjoy the pics we took along with video ;-)

"STEAMPUNK HALLOWEEN 2018"!!!!!

I want to start out giving a SPECIAL "THANK YOU" to Zdenek ;-)))))) He actually took the time to create this festive costume piece by piece!!!!!!!!!!!! The wings were the ONLY addition I added!!! The crew this year was Kat, Sharon & Debbie & I. We started at the same place as last year………. .you may recognize the bathroom with the selfies again ;-)~~~~ LOL After that, our crew headed downtown to the Rivermarket to the next place called "Club Deep". We parked the car & walked to the club. Shortly after walking I fell into a hole in the road where the pavement was uneven :-O I broke a crown in my mouth that is SUPER sore & my hand got cut up & the sole of my boot dislodged from the boot itself, making it dangerous to walk :-(((( I didn't let all this slow me down………. I stayed in "STEAMPUNK WARRIOR MODE"!!!!! Once we finally reached the club I was lucky the Bouncer was a "REAL MAN/HERO" & he pulled out a huge knife & cut my dislodged sole off my boot so the groove could continue!!!! LOL After that club we weren't ready to go home so we went to one more called "Discovery" which stays open till 5am :-O No one knew what our costumes were. We only saw one other Steampunk relative while out!!! People thought we were Pirates or from a video game ;-)~~~~~~~~ LOL Guess we introduced FEMLand to "STEAMPUNK"!!!! My mouth hurts pretty bad from the fall…………. will call my dentist office the minute they open to get this dental work repaired. Brews & Barks

It was a BEAUTIFUL day for this charity event benefitting "The Humane Society Of Pulaski County"!!! People brought their dogs & could taste local craft beer. There were vendors & dogs up for adoption ;-) Mom, Kat & I had so much fun!!! They even had a "Brewty Pageant" for the dogs!!! Mom got her dog this cute Razorback bandanna & my kittie's this mouse & ball. They had a GREAT turnout :-) Afterwards, Kat & I ventured over to the Rivermarket where we cooled off with some mimosas & dancing ;-)~~~ I LOVE celebrating for a good cause!!!
